Everything on Endways starts off buried. Repetition peels back the layers causing a transformation of the source material, not in itself, but in the way we hear it. The sound of that process of removal is heard through the natural percussive loops that signify those changes. Swirling, cyclical melodies ripple outward from the album’s pulsating core like orbiters seen in different lights as they make their revolutions. It’s peaceful at times, and destructive at others, depending on what is heard most closely at the forefront of the soundscape. Yet it remains thoughtful at either end of that spectrum, never revealing too much or burying anything too deep.
