"The Corinthian Baptist Church Youth Choir has come a long way since they began on February 16, 1971 under the direction of Robert F. Riley and pianist Barbara Williams.

"Giving their time to God, the Choir has sung in many cities in the Midwest, singing praises to God and giving concerts for their yearly anniversary.

"The Corinthian Youth Choir has grown from 13 members at the beginning to the 30 members which it has now. Some members have come back from college to be with the choir in concerts.

"Mr. Riley is a native of Gary, Indiana, and studied under Fred Waring for three summers. He majored in music at Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa. Before coming to Des Moines, he directed a large young people’s choir at his church in Indiana.

"Mrs. Barbara Williams has degrees from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa with a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in music and piano. She has been church organist at Corinthian Baptist Church for many years. Her beautiful music from the organ and piano along with Rob’s technique as director has the choir singing like angels from Heaven. The choir sings with accompaniment as well as singing a cappella.

"In the past year, the Corinthian Baptist Church Youth Choir has performed at the Iowa State Fair and on a telethon which was seen in Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa and parts of Illinois.
They have also traveled to other cities and states to worship with other churches and give musical programs. We know that you will enjoy this album and hope it will give you inspiration to serve God in your own way with true feeling from the bottom of your heart.

"May He who is over all things bless and keep us all and may we continue on by faith."
