Warm Gospel 70

There was a house venue in town here for a while that had shows by the fireplace in the living room. Extravision played there one night, thumbing through a set of some of the more structured material from their previous album. After the show, when most of the people in the audience had left, and with all of their pedals and amps still hooked up, the band stumbled into this open jam session. It was peaceful and minimal and ambient, and one could hear the fireplace crackling through the layers of synth and reverb. “Nectarines of Mercy” feels like the progression of that jam session, brushing through thickets of softly pressed melodies, eventually finding its way to massive selections of slow, meditative bliss.
